Boom

Last week my runs were reduced to almost nothing. I ran three or four days out of seven. Not even sure if I kept records of my runs. I had a long working week. Add the rain and cold weather, there was no much incentive to run. Dead legs, no time, no run. It went like this:

The bee hive before the Oak fell.

Saturday
Day off. Bike ride.

Sunday
I ran the bike path course out and back and finished by the laundry mat. Good run after a few days off.

Monday
Three times the Oakwood Valley trail.  Cold weather. My legs felt good.

Tuesday
Bike ride and upper body weights.

Wednesday
Bike ride and upper body weights.

Thursday
Day off. Rainy day.

Friday
Day off.

It used to bee hive somewhere in the middle of that trunk.

This week things turned out a little  better. The rain and cold weather was not an issue. My legs revived a little and I am even planing to do a half marathon in the near future.

Saturday
I ran on the bike path, out and back adding a few minutes around the soccer fields and on the road back to the laundry mat.

Sunday
I ran the Jewpsia course from home. Lots hills, lots tourists. I turned around by its highest point. Muddy trails after all the rain that we got in the last couple days. Total run time: one hour and thirty minutes.

Monday
Three times the Oakwood Valley Trail loop. My legs felt pretty beat up. Tight muscles. No surprise after my Sunday's run with some many steep hills.

Tuesday
Day off. Rainy and windy day.

Wednesday
Nice run on the bike path, out and back. My legs were a little tight. Left ITB is causing knee problems.

Thursday
Back to the Oakwood Valley Trail. I ran three times the loop. Nice easy run. Very humid.

What a shame!

Sequence

This was a very poor week. Not much running, some cycling and weight lifting. I had a tough working week. The rain and cold weather are back as some signs of the old injuries. Well, I don't think anybody likes to hear about injuries.
I am very disappointed with sports. All the doping cases in the last few years really took my motivation away. The media always like to sell this image of hard work and dedication. But in reality things are very different. As you  get old you become a little more wise.
What makes me upset is this idea of clean sports. This idea sold to the young that you have to work hard and you will eventually active your goals. It is so far from the truth.
I used to admire some athletes and they  were like my role models. These days I can't trust anyone anymore. That is the reason why I never mention any athletes in my blog or try to promote anyone. I am not selfish or trying to be self focused in my running, that is not more than a hobby.

Saturday
Day off.

Sunday
Short run on the bike path, out and back finishing by the laundry mat. My legs are very tight. More stretch to loose up.

Monday
Day off. Short bike ride and upper body weights. Tight hams.

Tuesday
Bike ride.

Wednesday
Easy run on the Oakwood Valley Trial loop. I ran three times the OWV loop. Cold weather.

Thursday
Day off.

Friday
Short hilly run from home to Hawk hill. My legs felt good. Very cold weather.

Related

Another short week. My work took priority over my daily running. More day offs than I expected. Clear signs of tight hamstrings and calves. Not a good week but I was able to do a minimum of four days of running. Hope things get better next week.

Relatives? Maybe? Random more like.
Saturday
Day off. Upper body weights and a short bike ride. My hams were a little tight. Some signs of plantar fasciitis.

Sunday
I rode my bike down to the soccer fields where I ran four times around the soccer fields. It is approximately an eight minutes loop. Plantar fasciitis became very painful again. Definitely related to the weight lifting. Nice run and no pain during the run. Great cool weather.

Monday
Day off.

Tuesday
Easy run on the China camp, out and back. A few short hills. My legs were feeling a little tight and tired. Hope to recover soon. Short bike ride.

Wednesday
Day off.

Thursday
I ran five times the China Camp loop. The second and fourth loop were at a fast pace. Even that my legs were tired, I was able to run under four times. Good run.

Friday
Short run on the bike path. I ran from half way to the bike shop end and turned around, adding a few minutes on the road. Tight legs.
